My stay at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace was a mixed bag. On the plus side, the location is really good, offering stunning views of Lake Monona and close proximity to downtown attractions. However, the hotel was definitely understaffed during my visit, which resulted in less-than-ideal service. The dining experience could have been better, with some issues at the restaurant that reflected poor management.

I stayed in a Deluxe King Room with a lake view, which was beautiful but noisy at times, making it hard to sleep.

The service was friendly, but the front desk staff seemed overwhelmed and inattentive at times.

I enjoyed a nice graduation dinner in the hotel restaurant, but there were menu items that were missing initially, and the overall selection wasn't great.
Facilities

The hotel could use a facelift; the fitness center is small and dated, and there were issues with the coffee machine in the room. It felt like some facilities were lacking.

My stay at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace was enjoyable, thanks to the beautiful lake view and great location near downtown. However, I had a few inconveniences, like a noisy air conditioning unit and some lapses in service. Overall, I'd consider returning, though improvements would enhance the experience.

Rooms

The room was comfortable, but the air conditioning unit was too loud, making it hard to sleep. While it had a nice view, the furnishings were quite standard for a Hilton.

The staff at check-in was helpful, but there were moments where service felt lacking, especially regarding requests for housekeeping and amenities.

Breakfast in the lounge offered decent options, and I appreciated the beautiful views while dining, though it was a bit basic.

I had a wonderful stay at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace, enjoying the amazing views of Lake Monona from my large room and the friendly staff who were incredibly helpful throughout my visit. The hotel's location was perfect, being just a block away from the Capitol and surrounded by fantastic dining options. However, I did face some room issues, like a noisy air conditioning unit and a malfunctioning coffee maker, which detracted from an otherwise great experience. Overall, it was a nice trip! 😊🌊

7.0/10

My stay at the Hilton Madison Monona Terrace had its ups and downs. The location was perfect for exploring downtown Madison, which was a big plus. However, I encountered issues with the bathroom doorknob and inconsistencies in service, especially with slow breakfast delivery. While the room was clean and comfortable, there were certainly areas in need of improvement, particularly with the amenities.

Rooms
7.0
The room was clean and comfortable, though the bathroom doorknob was loose. The beds were decent but lacked extra blankets and the pillows were quite firm.
Service

Staff were friendly and went the extra mile to assist me, but the breakfast took longer than expected. I encountered some confusion with the billing that required follow-ups.

While the fitness center was small and limited, I found the facilities otherwise adequate. However, the coffee machine was outdated and not effective.

I had a mixed experience at Hilton Madison Monona Terrace. The location was great, right by so many restaurants and close to the lakes, but there were some issues with the service and a few amenities. While the staff was generally friendly and helpful, I ran into trouble with billing that took too long to resolve. Overall, it was decent, but a few improvements could really elevate the stay.

Rooms
8.0
I stayed in a corner suite on the 12th floor with a lovely view of the lake. The room was modern, but it felt a bit too warm for sleeping. Also, I appreciated having free WiFi that worked well and an empty fridge for my leftovers.
Service
6.0
The staff were friendly and did their best to help, especially when I needed assistance with internet access since I wasn't a Hilton Honors member. However, I also had a frustrating experience with billing where I was double charged for parking, which took several calls to sort out.
Location
9.0
The location is fantastic! It’s just a short walk to the Capitol building and surrounded by great restaurants and bars. I really enjoyed being close to downtown activities, which is exactly why I chose this hotel.
Dining
5.0
I ordered room service, and while it was decent, it didn't meet expectations. Once, my order was late, and another time, it wasn't quite what I had requested. It felt a bit rushed, but I could tell they were trying.
Facilities
6.0
There were some nice amenities, but the fitness center was small and could use more equipment. Also, the coffee machine was outdated and didn’t produce great coffee. The pool area was quite small too.
